Moa has been producing a limited release for the Christmas season for a few years now and this one is the best so far. It’s as big and bold and festive as a Chrissy tree decked out in tinsel. Pine is the big feature in aroma and taste thanks to a sleigh-load of American hops including Columbus, Simcoe, Citra, and Amarillo. It’s dry hopped with Sorachi Ace hops which were developed in Japan and only really took the US market by storm in the last decade. With the late addition of Nelson Sauvin hops you are in for a real mix of lemon, grapefruit and orange flavours in with the pine. Caramel and crown sugar malts balance out the intense hop bitterness but not so much that you don’t still get a good hoppy buzz from this excellent Christmas IPA. Rate this beer.
