This trio got up to all kinds of fun during their brewing threesome and the result is this intriguingly delicious cross between a sour and gose. It is kettle soured brewed with a combination of specialty dark malts and peated malt – hence the smoky aroma and taste. Salt has been added to the boil – that takes care of the gose element – and Morello cherries make their entrance later in the fermentation process. It pours opaque black in the glass and the first sip gives a sour tang hit before the cherries and peat characters come into play. A real winter treat.
